Managing Broker

Hello!  I'm Nikki King, the managing broker of King Realty, LLC. First off, I am blessed to be married to a super supportive and loving husband through our many years together.  You will see why as my BIO unfolds.   I started my career in real estate following my late uncle's footsteps.  In 2003, he talked me into entertaining the thought of becoming a REALTOR at his firm.  I borrowed a few of his real estate books to peruse for a moment to be sure I was ready to start this new journey to a real estate career.  My husband was super encouraging and helped convince me I would probably be good at it.  I signed up for classes in 2004 for my Salesperson real estate license.  After studying late at night, raising two energetic preschool boys, and being a busy housewife, I passed the class and the state exams the first time!!  In 2004, I was quickly hired by the firm my late uncle owned named Kimmel Realty. Training began just as quickly. Saying this jokingly,  I'm not even sure the ink was dry on my license before he had me return to school to get my Associate Brokers license in 2005.  I successfully passed that class and state exam the first time again.  He quickly gave me a new title as Office Manager, and we started an even more in-depth training of the office and on a new side of things.  He had a list of new adventures for me to learn and acclimate myself with, like the inner workings of his business.  In February 2006, I lost my beloved uncle and a great mentor for my now-loved career.  He passed from a sudden heart attack.  He put his heart into his business as I do mine.  I mean, I feel like I learned from one of the best.  His company was laid to rest a little bit after his passing, and King Realty, LLC started in the summer of 2006.  In June 2007, I was in a horrific vehicle accident on the way to show homes.  Let's just say, a dump truck pulling out in front of you when you are going the speed limit on a main road can mess up things for quite a bit. It took the rescue crew over 1.5 -2 hours to dig me out of my Chevy Avalanch, and I was life-flighted to the hospital.  Needless to say, my legs were in horrible condition, and we weren't sure if they would ever be close to being right again.  I was in for a long stay in the hospital for approximately a month and came home to home health care for a long time while being non-weight bearing on both legs for the next eight months and in a wheelchair with a slide board. Finally, starting to learn to walk again after the long eight months, to end up back in the wheelchair over and over, it seemed.  We repeated the process and recoveries through 13 big surgeries , trying to get Nikki back together again from 2007 to 2010.   At the time, we joked a Humpty Dumpty reference.  This didn't stop King Realty, LLC.  It just made us stronger as a team and a reason to think outside the box to get the job done even though the economy was sliding during this timeframe.   Although I couldn't show houses, I focused on assisting my agents with transactions and scheduling.  Going into the roll as my agents' personal assistant.  A few of my past clients still wanted me at closing with them, so they picked me up along with my wheelchair, and off to closing, we would go.  A few referred to me as a parody of Charlie's Angel's because I was the mysterious voice they never met in person.  By the fall of 2011, I mainly just used a cane.  This was further than I thought I may ever be.  Over time, I got stronger, and my company got even stronger.  Today, I hardly ever need my cane very often, and my company is growing more known by the year, especially for our passion to help people.  I am somewhat of a go-getter, you could say.  From my history and the history of our company, I hope it shows that not much will keep us down.   I love my career and do it with my heart, as my late uncle did.  I truly care about my buyers & sellers.  They are not just another number or sale in the book because they are people. I always try to do my job the right way, ethically, as well as the best I can for my buyers and sellers.  I'm a real person myself, and you won't find much at all fake about me.  As you can tell by my bio, once your life has taken a few loopy loops, you strive to be the best and real you that you can do.  Genuine and true.  I take pride in the team mindset my agents have with me & the company still today. We try to ensure the buyers and sellers get the knowledge needed with no questions too silly or small.  As the managing broker, I am also open to texts any time, day or night, from buyers and sellers of my agents as well as my own.  If I'm awake, I will answer or answer as soon as possible.   Don't be afraid to give us a call making an appointment to figure out your goals for buying or selling a property.  We can sit down and make a game plan on how we can help you along your way through a real estate transaction.
